We are implementing a web application development project that needs to push user selected data/content from a browser to a local server (running on the PC itself) which processes it and presents content on the browser again. The work comprises of two components : 1. Implementing browser extensions for Firefox / IE : this is to enable users to select displayed content and push it to the local server. The extension will add selection capability to the browser context menu/tools. 2. Implementing the front end : this will require XML/XSLT and HTML/Javascripting skills. The back end services running on the local server will be implemented by us but manipulating user posted content / presenting to the browser needs to be implemented using a combination of XML (used to tag back end components required to process business logic implemented by us) and XSLT (that combines html elements with javascript code). Note : the front end will support 10 user actions for manipulating /presenting content
## Deliverables
a) Browser extension package needs to be fully working independently (without associated application backend) on IE and Firefox versions (IE 5.0+, Firefox 1.4+) b) Associated front end package (XML, XSLT files) needs to be fully working on our web server - we will provide a copy of this to the developer + give the XML templates for tag based invocation of back end services implemented by us.
## Platform
This needs to run in IE, Firefox browsers on the Windows (XP, 2000, Me) platform.
