Develop Java Component to Produce MHT files from a URL

The purpose of this project is to develop a pure java component, which will accept as input a URL from the JDIC Browser (it can be assumed that the JDIC browser is utilized in applet distribution through a java webapp). The component will output an MHTML file in bitstream format (it can be assumed that the ultimate target for the MHTML file is to be stored within a database). The user should also be able to open the resultant MHT file in Internet Explorer. Specific requirements for the MHTML File (or .MHT) are the same as an MHT file saved from Internet Explorer; in that all relative links in the Web page are remapped and the embedded content is included in the .MHT file. The absolute references or hyperlinks on the Web page remain unchanged. In this project, the component must take as imput a URL from the JDIC browser, and output a web archive MHT as a bitstream for ultimate database storage. The user should also be able to open the resultant MHT file in Internet Explorer. The aforementioned applications can be used as a starting point for development, however. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
