We need an auto site, for listing car sales offers by private persons or dealers. The site must be have: - private person registration, dealer registration, password retrieval - normal / advanced searching possibilities - special 1st page listings - featured ads - customizable variables for number of cars on first page, featured offers Main features of the admin panel are as following: - Admin can add/edit/delete listings - Admin can add/edit/delete unlimited categories and subcategories - Admin can add/edit/delete/approve dealers - Mailing list manager - send emails, delete subscribers, message archive - Banner manager - view/delete banners - Manage the site settings - title, keywords, description, paypal email, contact email, company address, agreement, add/edit/delete different priorities and prices. - Admin info - change username, password, name, email - Separate settings for privates and dealers accounts (easy to change variables) for: time of ads life, number of posts allowed, etc We think that a site with features similar to [login to view URL] will be appropriate. It is important for the system to be highly friendly and have customizable variables, as we need to translate it in more languages, so using of Smarty template system will be very appreciated. Also we want site to be SE friendly, so using mod_rewrite to have the kind of [login to view URL] pages is needed. Preferred Technology Linux as web server OS Apache as web server software. mod_rewrite probably to support [login to view URL] kind of pages instead of dynamic links [maybe mod_layout for custom headers, footers.] PHP Smarty template system. We are generally looking for a single programmer and so not so expensive, that can help us in the future if any changes/addtions are required, rather then some big (and expensive) company.
