Your assessment submission should take the form of a case study of your organisational change. It should be in two parts, as detailed below. Part One The first part should take the form of a short descriptive case study; the aim of this should be to outline the nature, scope and extent of the change considered along with key stakeholders, milestones and issues within this. The case should be capable of being read as a stand-alone narrative of the organisational change under consideration which gives the reader enough information on that change to develop their own understanding and analysis of this. Your case should have a clear and distinct title. The case can take a particular focus on the change considered (such as culture, resistance, leadership, etc.). If this strategy is adopted this should be clearly indicated in the title of Part 1 of your work (e.g. Management of Change Assignment, Part 1 – Managing Cultural Change in P&G). Your case should conclude with between four and eight questions for discussion/further study. It is likely that the use of literature in the case study will be limited, but you may draw on some aspects of the literature to illustrate the nature of the change and/or the organisation. Part Two The second part of your assignment should take the form of a teaching note outlining the main learning points contained in your case. Further to Introduction to the module this you need to provide brief answers to the questions you identified at the end of your case. It is in the teaching note that you will be expected to use the module materials you have studied along with your wider reading around the subject area. This will then enable you to link the main issues in your case to relevant models, concepts and theories. A bibliography of all sources used must also be provided. The whole assignment (both parts) should not exceed 3,500 words in length It is likely that the case will be the longer element (perhaps 2,000 words) and the teaching note shorter (around 1,500 words). Please ensure that, in total, you do not exceed the 3,500 words maximum. It is not necessary to include an introduction and conclusion around the two parts of this assignment, but the start of the case itself and the teaching note should be clearly indicated and credit will be given for structuring each of these in an appropriate way.
