Pepe Hendricks grew up in a period of apartheid that inspired integrity, dignity and resilience in a constant struggle towards promoting peace as well as socio-economic transformation and justice. As a change-agent his quest is to promote the spirit of ubuntu in his work, with a firm leaning towards: 1) action research methodology; 2) Paulo Freire’s critical consciousness; and 3) Arnold Mindell’s community development for large-scale transformation. As an accredited assessor and trainer, he has worked with corporates, government entities, academic institutions, corporates and civil society organisations. He has practiced on local and global platforms in international humanitarian development, conflict management and peaceable methodologies. Experiences include research, developing and facilitating SETA-accredited and other courses - especially development, leadership and management - as well as lecturing and coaching at university. During his vast work experiences, he acquired skills in project management, communication, networking, marketing, capacity building, organisational development and critical reviews. As a director of his own enterprise he raised funds by submitting tenders, proposals and developing project initiatives. He is a published editor and creative practitioner with a good command of English and Afrikaans and drives a light motor vehicle.
