My name is Juan Pablo Rodriguez and I am an Electrical and Computer Engineer (B.S. Computer Engineering at Elizabethtown College, at Elizabethtown PA and M.S. Electrical Engineering with Concentration in Communications and Controls Systems, at Southern Methodist University at Dallas TX). I have been working in a Software Engineer role for most of my professional career (C/C++ mostly) working on challenging topics which include: generation of clustered distributed testing systems and automation terminals for Panasonic; high speed/multithreaded mission critical embedded systems and standard communication protocols' implementation (from UART circuit debugging and verification, packet level analysis to high level implementation using C and C++) for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL); to modifications to Google's Supersonic ultra-fast, column oriented query engine (ideal for Big Data applications) in advanced modern C++ (highly meta-templated library) which performs heavy use of cache-aware algorithms and SIMD and vectorized instructions to take advantage of hyper-pipelined CPU's for my latest client. This is an open-source query executor engine in which Google's BigQuery engine platform is based.
I would like to know more about what hardware systems are you targeting. Requirements are vague, so would like to know what you have in mind. Probably work on an hourly basis would be better suited for this job.
