Hello campaigner, Our project is based on a Raspberry Pi. The device needs to allow a user to interact with a Screen, Flash Drive and Raspberry Pi. In Simplicity: Phase 1: A user needs to place a "media" file (Video or Image) in a predefined directory on a Flash drive. When the Flash drive is inserted in to the Pi, the media should be automatically loaded and rendered to the screen. Phase 2: ONLY ONCE PHASE 1 is COMPLETE - includes it's own budget A User should be given a GUI to this process and be able to schedule the media file to play / stop between a timestamped period. In the above, lea-way should be made to trigger a switch mechanism (which will be connected to the PI's GPIO pins) that controlls a light.

Hello, I can build a c# script for the raspberry that does that, but first I have some questions: 1) how fast should the detection work? 2) what happens when the device is removed? Should the contents be copied temporally to the pi? 3) Is only 1 video in the pendrive?

Hi, The first phase can easily be done using a simple shell script that can be scheduled as a service. The second phase is bit more complex. GUI can be developed in Python using gtk libraries. I am sorry I don't know what 'lea-way' means but I guess you want a switch to be connected to gpio pins to control light. If my understanding is correct, I will take at max 4 days to complete the project. My work timings are between 10 PM IST to 3 AM IST. Hello, I am familiar with Raspberry PI and I have done few project related with Pi and Qt(C++) framewrok. So I can create for you application with GUI and GPIO as well. For Phase 1 1 simple programm which detecting and mounting flash drive 2- load image or video and shows it on the screen ( as I understand video after load should be automatically played ) Phase 2: 1 - GUI with options for media and timestamp 2 - GPIO managment for events If you have any questions feel free to write to me.
