I have a problem with our domain server. We have an old 2003 domain server that I was attempting to replace with 2 new 2012r2 servers. I was able to get the new servers up but something seems to be wrong with the domain replication. If the 2003 vm is shutdown nothing works (authentication etc). Also I cant seem to demote the 2003 server because it says no other domain controllers exist. The 2012 servers however do believe they are domain controllers. The 2003 server is ancient and some services dont seem to start properly on boot so Im not sure what is going wrong. I suspect that someone who really knows AD could probably solve this in 15minutes but alas that is not me and why I am here in search of help. I also need to get Radius server up and running on the 2012r2 machines after this 2003 issue gets resolved.. I figure this is a <$50 project. I will attach the logs I have from some of the domain troubleshooting I have attempted.

Hi, From the description, i can see the new two servers are not fully populated with domain controller roles Did you migrate all FSMO roles from server 2003 to 2012 during the migration. The New DCs are not yet updated as domain controller yet as is the reason why you are getting domain not available message when the old server is down. To isolate problem, we must check FSMO role status first then replicate the new DCs with all domain objects. I can assist you in this project Thanks, Jobin
