Job Description of Business Requirement Analyst - Own the requirement management and development process and be the requirement gatekeeper - Study the systems and operations and identify the scope of the problem. - Conduct a cost-benefit analysis - Liaise with key stakeholders and conduct brainstorming sessions to get exact requirements. - Analyze the problem from different angles and perform gap analysis. - Document exact business needs along with both functional and non-functional requirements. - Prepare use cases, business requirements documents (BRD), system requirements specification (SRS) documents and other functional documents. - Based on system needs, create prototype, wireframes, mockups and screens. - Conduct usability and functional testing and recommend corrective and preventive actions. - Guide and lead the technical writer team to prepare the documentation /manual - Conduct Client Presentation Technical Skills: - Methodologies UML, RUP, SDLC, Waterfall, Agile - Documentation Tools OSRMT, Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint - Internet Technology JavaScript, XML, HTML Soft Skill: - Analysis skills - Visualization and prototyping skills - Good command over spoken and written communication - Elicitation and interviewing skills - Problem solving and analytical thinking - Facilitation and observational skills - Process modeling skills - Interpersonal skills Educational Qualification - BE/MCA/MBA Experience: 2/3 years as Associate BA / BA in any IT company

I am having around 8 Years of experience as a Business Analyst (BA). As a BA I have worked on requirement gathering, writing BRD and SRS documents for projects apart from other related works. Recently completed Business Analyst assignment for an Open Source ERP Implementation project through Freelancer, wherein we used Agile Scrum implementation methodology. As business analyst i performed following activities : Requirement gathering and documentation, developing tractability matrix, Gap Analysis against Product Functionalities, Estimation of configuration and customization efforts. At design phase along with SMEs developed usecases and testcases along with creating high level design document. During UAT phase worked with customer in training customer UAT team on new system and made sure customer adaptation was smooth while helping team to get over UAT phase smoothly. Was responsible in creating user and admin manuals which was part of overall deliverable. By Education I am an Computer Engineer and Post Graduate in Finance ( MBA ). This provides me good mix of Analysis and technology skills. Having worked full time with TechMahindra as Project lead. I have deep understanding IT Project Process, knowledge of IT best practices. The Major reason for opting Freelancer job option is, I get flexibility of choosing work, opportunity to work with diversified set of companies.
