Create a Video

Hi everyone! We are an indie alternative rock band looking for someone to animate a music video. While this will be a super fun project, we have to say that we are broke musicians, so our budget for this project (if it can be done) is extremely small. We understand that artists deserve to be paid well for their work, but we do not have the funds for experienced artists. However, if you are looking to build your portfolio, and want to work on a really cool project, please apply! Now, on to the fun stuff. We are releasing a new song called “Small Talk” that is about 3 minutes long. You can listen here: [login to view URL] We have the concept hashed out. We want to see a goat on a grassy mountain, who is trying to hang out with the other goats, but is not being accepted. He wanders down to the bottom of the mountain, where there is a large ocean. In the ocean is a whale, who we see is also being rejected by his fellow whales. The goat and the whale look at each other, see a similar longing in each other’s eyes, and decide they will sail the ocean together. The whale blows some water out of its blowhole, which creates a ledge for the goat to walk on to. The water then falls down onto the whale’s back so that the goat can stand there, and they float through the ocean together, in search of similar outcasts. They eventually find a group of strange animals that they fit in with, and the ending is very happy. We are looking for relatively lo-fi animation, both because we like the look, and because it will be the least time-consuming (meaning the less work you have to do to make your money). Unfortunately, we don’t have any examples we can point to, but we would love to see what you’ve got! We are very easy people to work with, and just want to create a cool piece of art to go with our song. We are looking for someone who is easy to communicate with, will stick to the agreed-upon turnaround time, and who has a very active imagination. While the concept is set in stone, the little touches along the way are not, so this is a great project to have some creative freedom with! Please apply if this sounds like something up your alley.
