Develop a script for automated testing of a web based application, using Selenium. The script will go through 10 pages of the application, and include various validity tests on each of the pages, and reporting issues. This 10 pages job is a trial, if successful, the whole application will be covered more completely.
I am not fully satisfied with the answers I have received so far. Could you please read the following and give me your feedback:
1) I am surprised to see many freelancers with experience mainly in web scraping. This project is not about web scraping. It may use similar tools, but with a very different goal. I would rather see experience in automated testing.
2) It is important that you describe precisely what tools you will use, and what the delivrables will be. Selenium WebDriver may be used with various language bindings. I have a preference for Python.
3) I have some experience in creating and running automated test scenarios. It is important that you are aware that the job is not about recording your navigation on Selenium while you go through some page on the target web site. The project is about delivering intelligent and robust testing scripts, that will perform numerous conformity tests, be able to adapt its navigation to circumstances (thus including conditional branching and loops), and produce precise reports on the anomalies that have occurred. The testing scripts that you will deliver is meant to run periodically for many months, and it should be robust enough to withstand minor changes in the pages. It must also be maintainable, i.e. documented and readable.
