I am looking to re vamp an existing website with the addition of an online store. I am looking to market products that complimentary products such as organic skincare, crystal jewellery and other new age products. I may also look at providing eWorkshops or eBooks down the track. I also wish to have the site as a place where i can advertise my practice and where potential clients can get information(which is currently all the site really does now) To support this I will need to market the site well on the internet and have it hooked in to search engines, I am also looking to build a database to which I can market directly. Currently I also run a wordpress blog. It would be great if this could all be tied together into one easy to operate highly marketed and marketable site that is simple for me to manage. My current site I built with web creator, I have limited skills in this area and got as far as I did by trial and error, I don't speak computer lingo well but am quite capable of getting my head around 'how to' if presented in plain english, this will be an important factor in who ultimately gets the gig.

At this moment I have minimal understanding of how ecommerce sites operate at a detail level and what the ongoing requirements are for me in terms of how to accept payments etc. Information and options on this would be really helpful.
