Build an Online Auto Parts Store

I currently have a Joomla site that I would like to be converted to a Magento site. There’s really not much to discuss about the previous site except for look and current content (about us, contact info, etc). Site structure will be a traditional website. Every page will have the same navigational bar at the top, above that would be a “utility” bar where the users can sign in, see their account, shopping cart, a powerful search box, etc. The same Footer on all pages. And somewhere the shopping cart in an obvious place where users can see how many items (maybe the cost as well). There will be a typical Home Page, a few large scrolling images, a little about the shop etc. About us and Contact Page are typical as well. All of this content will be provided. It’s not much. There will also be a static side bar search tool. Similar to Expedia, Autotrader, etc. in look. The structure (as I see it, I’m willing to give creative freedom if it makes more sense to do it in a different way) would start with an optional “Key Word” text area. Stacked below that would be drop downs that will include but not limited to (as there may be more necessary) “Car, Make, Model, Year”. Once these have been selected, the results will display in a new page with all static items still being displayed WITH the search tool on the left side bar showing what they picked and can be adjusted to show different results. The “Key Word” option is to drill down even future for more specific results. ex. Vehicle Part - Text Field (Optional) Vehicle Make - Drop Down Vehicle Model - Drop Down (Conditional Data calculated from above choice) Vehicle Year - Drop Down The MOST IMPORTANT things to consider while bidding this: User Friendly Navigation: It has to be simple as the majority of users are gear heads, not computer savvy. Search Box 1: Must be able to pull in good tags, omit irrelevant tags Side Bar Search Function: This may end up being optional for this site, but I’d like you to include it in the quote as a separate item. Again, like the search Box 1, needs to be ultra functional. Aesthetics: Matching the current style (closely doesn’t have to be perfect) Shopping Cart: Again, matching style and obviously simple. Product name, thumbnail picture, short description, price, quantity. SPREADSHEETS!!!: Very Important to be easy to search and replace content to create new products. We use Apache Open Office and then would like to convert them to .csv files for upload. These must be extensively tested and ensure of working perfectly. Please include time for training in your quote. Setting up checkout/billing and shipping: This is something we’d prefer to have set up for us as we are familiar with Magento, we’re not THAT familiar and know it would take us forever figuring that part out. I’ve previously worked with Magento Spreadsheets for very customized products. The products we’ll be dealing with are auto parts and accessories. Both interior and exterior. Right now we’ll only be ready to upload a few hundred products but when it’s all said and done, there could easily be 200,000 items for sale. There will be zero options for products with the exception of quantity. The most important part of each product is ensuring it’s tagged correctly for SEO within the site. A likely product page will contain 1 main image with 2-3 images below in different angles that can be clicked on to enlarge, A title, description, possibly listing the tags and I’m unsure but there may be quantity discounts. I would need a search box that will be able to locate these files without finding them through navigation but by tags input through meta data within the spreadsheet. Then hit search and all parts will show up for those options chosen. Right now, I think the first phase of testing could just be 2 options for each drop down. If you choose to put in the part name, it would only show results with that part name tagged in the meta data.
