Here is what I would do for your site if you hire me: First, using wireframes that you've drawn, I'd look those over and depending on how they look, I would give you UX advice and we'd go from there. But be assured that your pages would look great and most importantly they would adhere to UX principles which would make your site enjoyable to use. Now for the second part: All company and user information would go to a MySQL database backend. I would design and architecture this database for it to be scalable and most importantly, efficient. By efficient I mean your server wouldn't use needless amount of processing power for it to get data that you want (such as name of a company for example). And last, but not least, concerning the user authentication pages: I would use a robust authentication module with which I worked for several years and know it inside out. This would make your accounts secure from any web exploits, especially the password recovery process. Accounts would have different user types and depending on which user-type user's account is, he'd get access to specific pages. All in all, you will get tested, clean-code, efficient web site. Depending on your growth in the future, site will be scalable and won't need to be recoded (as so many other sites do) so you'd save money on that.
