Creating an MS SQL sync solution in C# between two Servers using ms sync framework and

MS CCR Port based (XcoAppSpace) technique for communication.

Two MS SQL Server Databases needs to keep in sync by its data stored (only the data).

The databases are stored on different servers. One is the productive server on the recovery fall back server.

The solution needs an client with deliverer and receiver option. The communication have to be done by using the XcoAppSpace Framework.

The solution can estimate that the data structure is equal on both databases. If not an error should occur.

General configuration required to start main communication between sender and receiver and define the available databases on the sender side.

Configuration frontend required on the receiver side of an job, to configure the required database information (db name, user, pass). As well time or timespan issue for sync data tables interested in.

The solution have to be done in MS C# using creating a new Visual Studio 2010 solution. Based upon .net 3.5 Version and the last releases of the named to use components. The result should be an WinForms executable without need to install something (all required dlls inside the same folder) only .net framework have to be available by system setup.

About XcoAppSpace framework. This solution is in top off MS CCR and MS standard transport protocols like wcf and tcp. It makes it easy to create an server/ client solution. A lot of examples available on their webpage to get in too. The part of transport will not the big issue even if this framework is unknown for the developer. We open for detailed questions about this framework.

In a future release we will add logging and running this solution as windows service. The configuration need then to be done via webpage. The service should bring its own webserver with it. To start easy we still have an solution help here.

Assumption:

* Only on tool need installed on sender and receiver side. This tool can be sender and/ or receiver.

* On sender side there is just a need to configure by name which database allowed to get synced by request of receiver. Mainly the sender works just as a proxy to the other network we connecting to.

* On receiver side need to create a new job by adding sender IP address or dns name, select an available dbname and add required db login credentials. In additional need to give details about the data to copy too. Again add db name, login credentials and tables need to keep in sync for local side. The job are done by time delay issue or fixed time per day.

* The configured jobs need to editable for later change. As well to deactivate jobs for later activate again.

* There is no extra user login required to authenticate from the receiver to the sender.
