Custom period reporting for QuickBooks

Company needs P&L and Balance Sheet reports based upon custom date-defined periods, not normal standard calendar dates. Application must have interface where user can define years (1-n years) and periods for each year (1-12), defining the start date and end date for each period. This is the Period Setup.

New user interface would allow the user to choose a year (default to current) and a period for reporting. Application would then access QB system and run either or both P&L and Balance Sheet, using QB's standard reports but the custom dates as defined in Period Setup.

The QuickBooks installation has the QODBC driver installed for read access to data; this is to be used to access the QB data. Any direct access to QB must use QBFC for Com access.
