I am looking for an assistant accountant. I am one of the partners at a successful boutique accounting practice in New Zealand. Our clients are mainly small and medium business and individual contractors. We are at a stage now where we need to outsource some the work to a very clued on individual who can help us manage our workload. This is a long term assignment - we are looking to expand considerably so this person will be part of our team.

Your Profile

- Be an accountant ( CPA or CA qualification preferable)

- Need to have at least 3 years accounting experience

- Ideal candidate will have experience in New Zealand income tax and GST

- Be very comfortable creating very good workpapers and be very detailed oriented.

- Have good command of English

- Take responsibility - go the extra mile for very good work delivery. We are very big on client satisfaction. Nothing comes above client satisfaction

- Proficient in Xero and MS Excel. We use CCH IFirm as the accounting practice software. You will have to get familiar with this very quickly

- Have access to Dropbox

- Be trustworthy and reliable. Works need to be done on time - everytime

- Be a very fast learner

- Deliver a 1st world standard of work

- Take pride in the standard of work delivered

- Be prepared to take on more work as and when needed. This is very important as we expand in the next few months.

What we offer.

We are open to how you would like to get paid i.e. milestone based or monthly payments or per assignment payments. We will work with you to get you up to speed.

Our whole reputation is based on client satisfaction - we need someone with the same ethos.
