We are looking for an Android developer to help us with the latest project we are working on. The solution running on the hardware is made up of two bits of software. - Clients application (we are not responsible for it) - Neo Peripheral Wrapper The project involves developing wrappers for our peripherals to allow our client's application to receive events from these peripherals. In addition to this, the Finger Print/Vain scanner will require templates being sent to it. Below is a diagram showing the overview of the system (including cloud-based application, provided by our client) Stage one of the project requires the following peripherals to operate - Finger Print/Vain Scanner (FPV) - 2D Scanner - Admin Switch Stage two will add the following peripherals - UPS - NFC reader We have the SDKs and demo apps for the FPV and the 2D scanner. We have imported them into Android Studio, recompiled them and run them on the target (so we have access to all the source code) What we require is an experienced Android developer to create single background application that will allow our clients application to access our peripherals. Our original thought was to use REST and WebSocket for the mechanism to communicate between the two applications, but it may be more suitable to use Intents or Binders to achieve this. (needs to be approved by NEO and our Client) We also expect access to all the source code and the development tools used, to allow us future code maintenance. Our client is using Xamarin for their app development, so it would be advantages if our part of the solution was also developed using Xamarin. Android Studio may also be an option.
