Hi
I love food, cooking and travel! I just came back from a 3 week trip travelling round Cuba and the highlight of each day was when I found somewhere good to eat. I think about food all the time and spend far too much time looking at food blogs. I actually had a girlfriend leave me, in part, because I thought about food too much. Seriously. But it needs to be good food, food that is made with love and good ingredients that care for the soul as well as the body. I tend to focus mainly on healthy food and then eat something more glutinous on occasion.
I am from the UK and have lived in London and Brighton and travelled round the country fairly extensively.
Travel wise I have been to about 20 countries, both travelling by backpack and staying in nice hotels, on my own, with friends and family. And I always tend to want to get to know the local scene and energy. I love airbnb for that purpose. In Cuba I had an amazing New Year's eve with the family I was staying with sharing a big pork roast with rice and beans along with the extended family. I had fascinating discussions understanding what life is like for them in Cuba.
On the flip side I had an amazing Ski holiday in the Alps last year staying in a lovely hotel, eating beautiful food in mountain side restaurants, log fires burning or when the sun was out sitting outside wrapped up in faux fir and steaming hot wine.
Hope to hear from you
Lawrence
