Artist for Game Item Design

This should be a secondary project/possible source of income for you as it has a high chance of not working out, resulting in no payment. This all depends on your skill, as well as a bit of luck. Even if this project works out, the first payment would be in late January or early February. ** Hello, I am a Steam Workshop Skin creator that is looking to work with someone on my weapon design (skin) for the game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. All answers about the Workshop, Valve, CSGO are at the bottom. You may wish to go through that first then return here. If some information is absent, a quick Google search or message to me can help. Why? I am working on a short, 2 minute Source Film Maker animation to publicize the skin around the CSGO community in hopes of influencing CSGO's Devs collective mind as much as possible. I've seen not many other creators do similar things and those who have, have achieved a lot. Animating is hard to do when you're making a CSGO skin at the same time. I am not sure if I will make it in time by January when the next case will be released. Why Me? Though I have not made too many skins, one of them had 81% positive votes after being viewed by thousands of unique visitors and 1 in every 15 people added it to their favourites. Achieving that is not too easy. My digital painting skills aren't too good but I will be able to help in some way. I won't just be doing the animation. What Will You Get? Every 2-3 months or so, Valve adds a case into CSGO that has around 16 community-made items in it. The creators of those skins get 25% of what Valve makes from the sale of keys for said case. In a statement before, Valve said that a creator on average makes £40,000. Depending on how much you help, or how many people will end up contributing to the skin, you will receive a percentage of what Valve pays if they decide to add the design into the game. Since this would be a collaboration this might be a 50:50 or 33:33:33 split so the money will vary accordingly. This is essentially a gamble, except the winner is the best artist, with common sense. Though it seems almost like a contest, there is a strategy to it. If the design is chosen to be added, Valve will pay on the 30 of every month after the design is added. If the design is not added, then we both make nothing. More information about this system can be found through the links on the bottom of the post. What Do You Need? Well, decent digital art skills, of course. Probably Photoshop as, if you use pretty much any other software, I doubt you have what I need though you can still contact me. I would like for you to be a workshop creator yourself but it is not really needed. If you have never made skins and want to start, you will have to show some of your previous artwork. I will give you the 3d-turned-2d templates with my basic base design on them we can discuss any ideas you and I have and adjust the skin to suit a style that fits our combined skills.
