MSN / Yahoo Messenger Clone

I'm looking for a chat messenger software that can be customized for our site, that will allow users to download, install, and use the chat messenger system. A similar setup to MSN Messenger as possible, I would prefer to work with someone who has already done this before and can show a demo of their chat messenger.

Basically, the user would register for an account, download the software and be able to chat with the other users with features similar to the current MSN messenger system.

This is not a web based system, I require an actual .exe or a .MSI so users can download and install on their local machine.

Whoever I choose as the service provider, will get future work in terms of developing plugins etc.

The protocol to be used is jabber.

All the basic features like blocking users, appear offline, emoticons, status change, sounds, file transfer etc should be included with the messenger.

The messenger must support e-mail support. I am open to suggestions for using any backend mail sevice but would prefer Dbmail ([url removed, login to view]) and can use any of the popular protocols like POP3 or IMAP.
