This will be a multi-phase project. A string of data must be analyzed in "near real time" and a decision calculated, an appropriate input must be entered into an existing program, right click menus must be added to the same software to allow the operator to enter and submit 6-9 fields of data with a single click, track and display the results of the submitted transactions. A working prototype will demonstrate elements of each item above as it monitors and analyzes a data stream of 6 items, automatically allocate available resources based on user entered parameters and track the details generated by the selections. Raw data and the appropriate response is available. The full operating version will monitor live data regarding several hundred items and correctly recommend 1 of three of four choices. The algorithms to create the raw data are know. There is a potential we will find another data stream and completely develop an application designed to accomplish the task from scratch, but for now the host software has all the capabilities we need. In the existing situation the key strokes necessary to accomplish the user input to the necessary level of detail takes too long for most users therefore the right-click menus, moreover we want to automate the entire process to significantly reduce the human interface requirement and it's resulting errors. We will use VNC (a remote control software) and other communications tools to demonstrate and elaborate on the functional requirements of the project. Time is of the essence and developers should be prepared to demonstrate existing utilities that accomplish the elements of the program and be ready to estimate a completion timeline.
