I'm looking for a developmental editor/writing coach to give me guidance on structure and style in producing an international version of my story. Also, i think some (conversational) sparring on the concept/framework itself might be in place.
Some context: The book already came out in Belgium in February 2016 ([url removed, login to view], in Dutch). I was actively involved in promoting and marketing (trailer, signings, lectures, website, Facebook, contacting journalists) and it did quite well. That being said, I want to make a thorough revision/overhaul for the international version. So basically start from scratch, with the translated manuscript (done) as reference material, supplemented with new insights etc.
The story: I use my story (of how I woke from a month long coma with a severe traumatic brain injury in 2007, struggled to reinvent my life and started traveling, reaching Everest Base Camp in Nepal in 2010) as a vehicle of sharing the lessons learned through my experience and study.
If this project is up your ally, I'd love to talk it through and see if we can find common ground in conceptualizing a book.
PS: Assistance in the possible publishing or marketing process would also be of great value.
