The project requires advanced mathematics. You could derive symbolically equations using symbolic software such as Mupad (preferable) or Mathematica or Maple. Phase 1 steps:
Phase 1
1) Use my equations in "[login to view URL]" to replace the equations in " Predicting the crack opening displacements of .. .pdf" with double sided Fourier complex exponential and Bessel 1st. Then, derive a new replacement equations for equations 27 to 30 and for 35 to 39. You should have much more simple equations using Fourier complex exponential
3) Create a Matlab code and verify your results versus current " Predicting the crack opening displacements of .. .pdf"
