I have an excel file with four columns. The first column is the identifier. The second column lists the group that the identifier belongs to. In the third col, there is some text, and some blank cells. You have to fill column four, using this logic:
Find in col 3 the first cell that contains text. That text has to be copied to all the cells in col 4 that belongs to the same group. Repeat to the end of the sheet.
Please refer to the example in the attahced spreadsheet.
There are 6000 rows. Most of the groups contain 3 to 10 items (identifiers).
This can be done by hand, or if you know how, you probably write a simple script to do this.
