Creative and user-oriented web designer needed

This job posting is about a particular website (see below) but it is also a test. I am looking for a "preferred partner" in terms of web design for my company and if you do well on this project you will get many more projects continuosly. I want you to be: - User oriented (most important): I want you to understand how web users think and create websites that are intuitive, appealing and easy to "get" quickly. - Creative: Although most web designs will be quite business oriented I want you to be able to come up with fresh ideas for each project. - Skilled in HTML & CSS: You will have to be able to create the HTML & CSS by yourself. - Knowledge of Wordpress design and preferrably also Pagelines CMS. Let me know if you have worked with Pagelines before! I also prefer that you: - Have knowledge of SEO so that the design does not have negative impact on SEO. - Have understanding of ad placements (where ads convert on a website) - Can make PSD-mockups quickly. -------- This project ========== The goal of this project is to deliver a web design (HTML + CSS) after first making a few mockups. I want you to come up with an idea of how to re-design my website "www . get the skill . com" (remove spaces). It's ugly as h*ll today and probably not very user friendly as well. I want a new web design that: - Is very intuitional - Is playful and friendly in its design - Makes it easy to find the right online course You may: - Add design element of functionalities that are not on the website today in case you find them useful. - Come up with new creative ideas on how the website could be improved in terms of design Applying to this project In case you create a mock-up as a part of your application you will have a MUCH greater chance of being rewarded the project.
