1. Landing Page: On a landing page there is an option for user to either register or login to the website. If clicked on Register button, user will see a registration form. There the user will be asked to join as a Shipping agent or customer and based on this, the user will be redirected to different forms. Same is for login section.
2. Shipping Agent: Once a shipping agent logs in, he/she can see the list of drivers, trucks available and those that are out on duty (each will have unique ID's and a two grid list to show those that are on the road, and those that are available for use. There should be a search bar that allows users to search by driver or truck. (There will be module in the admin section to add the drivers, trucks. Admin can handle the settings like to display when the truck is on road or not. Once a driver/truck is on road admin can change the setting or this can be automatically changed when the schedule date/time reached for the truck booking).
There also need to be a GPS navigation to the design. We would like to be able to track the trucks that are out on duty by using the truck ID (we can track the truck by id, we have to install a device in the truck with the truck id and make the script for tracking the location. when administrator want to track the location just select the truck id and get the location details in google map. We might need to make web services for it and build an application for tracking the location. Google map provide the location tracker API). If the shipping agent hires new drivers or purchases new trucks or opens a new location, he will be given the option to enter new information on driver, address, phone number, etc.
3. Customer log in: When a customer logs in, the customer can see his/her profile, Name, Company name, and address, as well as phone number, email and website (optional). If the customer is registering for the first time he will be prompted to fill a form with all this information. (If already registered he will see his profile and can edit the profile values. If registering for first time, he can fill all the required fields).
Once a customer is logged in, the customer can select, shipping services or ship goods.
When the customer selects shipping services, the customer will be prompted to enter the dimension and weight of goods using the metric system. The customer can select the shipping agency he or she would like to use. The customer will also have the option to compare prices among the shipping agencies that have registered with us.
When the customer selects the shipping agencies to compare, a grid list appears with prices per dimension (we can talk about this later). The first option in the grid will be the one "Kobo highly recommends".
Once the shipper selects his final option, he will then be prompted to click to schedule pick up time and location. If pick up location is different from saved address, the customer will then be prompted to enter a new pick up address.
Once address is finalized, the customer can now click to make payment, where the option to pay with credit/debit card, KoboPay, PayPal, Interswitch etc. is offered ( initial payments on the web accepts dollars and naira). A confirmation receipt is generated and the customer can print or email to him/herself or select to receive it via text message.
THE GOAL IS FOR THE USER TO COMPLETE THESE TASKS UNDER A MINUTE!
