Waldo Photos is a photo finding platform empowering consumers to toss their selfie sticks, put their phones back in their pockets and live in the moment. Waldo is the only platform that removes all of the friction in getting photos of you taken by others and creates new opportunities for photographers to market and sell their photos. Users can enjoy life’s most precious events and automatically receive images taken of them right on their phones or share images of others they’ve taken without having to lift a finger – whether between friends and family or a professional photographer. Summary We’re searching for a strong, well-rounded visual design contractor to execute and deliver creative design projects. These projects would primarily be product design (web and mobile) but could also include PPC banner ads, infographics, sales collateral and more. The ideal candidate would live for beautiful user experiences, understand how to flex these across multiple UIs and thrive in ever-changing environments. While we’re based in Austin we are open to remote candidates. Responsibilities: Turn product requirements, into wireframes and user flows into a design that is easy and enjoyable for people to use Beautify our products with layout improvements, icons and graphics Help build a unified visual language across multiple products Help user experience designers as needed with graphic design issues Skin wireframes Share and communicate designs with stakeholders Participate in business and UI reviews with cross-functional teams Create and contribute to style guides and design system Qualifications: Exceptional online portfolio featuring examples of visual design work Experience with interaction and visual design of mobile (web and native app) initiatives Passionate about creating beautiful user-centric experiences Strong prototyping skills (InVision, Sketch, etc) Abreast of UI design best practices, trends and techniques Confidence to think about high-level product vision, understand constraints, and contribute to a fantastic user experience Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and the technologies that you’re designing for understanding how designs translate to code Comfort working in fast-moving, Agile development environments DETAILS Type: Contract Location: Austin or Remote Compensation: Hourly or project-based
