info retriever for my site

i'm looking for a program or script that allows me to pull information from other sites. i want a program or script that retrieves and updates automatically, news release from predetermined site or sites. for instance everytime there a new release from yahoo news site i want it to be able to retrieve that info to the news section of my site via a link back to yahoo site. it must update automatically.
