Help fix bug with custom svg markers in google maps

I am using [login to view URL] to display custom markers on a map. This works fine on my MacBook Pro on Chrome, as soon as I move the window to my second screen (a LG widescreen) the marker becomes tiny. The marker don't show up in Safari and Internet Explore and god knows where else. This exercise would be done via pair coding (i.e. I want you to help me find and understand the bug) Cheers
