Graphic Designers only - talent needed

Hi **We have a number of projects coming up in the next few weeks and we are looking for talented designers to work with. ** As part of the "search & getting to know" stage we will, in this award give a paid task for up to 5 designers. **The task is to take the attached mock-up and produce a design variation (in photoshop or firewroks) that demonstrates:** a) a moderm, western (London/NewYork/Paris) design that is clearly 2008 / web 2 (without being "trendy" or so fashionable that it only lasts a season) b) a page that inspires trust, reliabilty, confidence c) a page that does not sacrifice function for style (ie has to have readable fonts, clear layout) We will choose the designers based on the response to the bid and quality of previous work. Please do not feel constrained by the colors of the mock-up, but keep the main elements (content areas, tabs etc) Good Luck Steve PS For references we need links to actual live sites that you have designed or re-designed (not just assembled or worked on). Please do not bid if you cannot provide these. PPS If you have CSS2 skills that is a bonus HOWEVER design skill at this stage is number 1. We would rather have a 100% excellent designer than someone who does xhtml, css and design to 80% ## Deliverables **Specs ** **Though it is not a requirement of this bid** **to provide any XHTML or CSS please be mindful that in choosing designers** to work with in future projects we will need designs that are suitable for CSS2 (DIV, classes etc) and do not require tables. XHTML 1.0 Strict Accessiblity (eg text and navs must be able to be resize in browser) Passing W3C validation Rendering quickly and smartly in each major browser (ie6/7,Firefox 1.5/2.x,Safari (2.x,3) - rendition does not have to be exact - just professional) Displaying in 1024x768 browsers without horizontal scrolling Displaying in wide screen **The deliverable from this bid is a Photoshop or Fireworks file with your design variation **The layers and slices need to be intact and you have to demonstrate that you can properly size, grid design, layer, group and label a site design. Please remember that the objective of this bid is for us to find a small list of trusted designers that we can work with in the coming weeks and months. The designers must understand therefore that attention to this detail is critical for us. Ps If it happens that any of the designs produced in this bid are good enough to use, we will come back with a private auction to the orignal designer and offer a market rate to complete the rest of the site layouts
