Our company is looking for a refined design for a wireless power transmitting device - MUST be efficient, require low power and be safe. Transmitter/sender needs to be offered in multiple sizes - 2-3" diameter, 5-6" diameter and 9-10" diameter. Transmitter needs to fit inside of a plastic panel that's less than 3mm thick. Receivers will be individual LEDs that MUST work a minimum of 6" away from transmitter surface. Prefer up to 10-12" distance. We are open to the idea of using additional passive coils placed above the primary active coil if needed in order to extend the distance/range (however these passive coils must remain small). We are familiar with NFC/RFID technologies - this product MUST be able to be powered from 5VDC or a standard USB-type wall power adapter. Looking for the most cost-effective method of producing this design - this is an urgent application. Some examples are attached to this request - one is a fingernail sticker that works via NFC technology. We are looking for something similar, but with a slightly smaller LED receiver device and much greater distance between the transmitter and receiver. Transmitter surface MUST be able to power several of the LED receivers simultaneously. System CANNOT get hot to the touch - nor be highly likely to shock anyone. Product will ultimately be used in a "family-friendly" product and therefore will require passing safety tests. Prefer LED receivers to light on all sides, or possibly from the top of the "cube". I've seen this completed as a proof of concept in a functioning demonstration unit. Therefore, the technology obviously exists and can be done. Should be a relatively simple, straightforward project.
