Look at attached image about method of solving, you can solve on your own way as well. I can help you on mathematics part.
Make a rectangular mesh 5 by 5 means 5 rectangles horizontally and 5 vertically. Make a circle in this mesh. Then some cells will come completely in the circle and some will come partially in the boundary of circle.
Find volume of fraction (VOF) of cells that lies within the boundary of the circle and formula is area of the part of cell / area of complete cell. VOF will be in between 0 and 1. The cells outside circle have VOF 0, cells which completely inside have VOF 1 and cell which partially inside have VOF greater than 0 and less than 1.
At the end show by contour that each value of VOF we get different colors e.g. VOF 1 has red, 0.9 has yellow, 0.8 has green ……. 0 has no color such like that.
Make same procedure for mesh of 50 by 50 but don’t change size of circle so that we can show that mesh 50 by 50 has improved results.
