We need a Node.JS wizard to help us with a particular piece of software in our stack.
We have a 'proxy' application which broadly receives a request from our webapp, looks at the request, and then forwards it on to a backend based on the request.
So for instance, if the request was [login to view URL] we would forward this request to [login to view URL]
Our application is more complex, but this is the idea.
We have already built the Node app that does this and it is running in production. The problems we have is with performance and error handling. Specifically, we seem to struggle to handle timeouts (when the backend is not available) or when the browser unexpectedly hangs up the connection.
We also want to extend the proxy to also support websockets (at the moment we use HTTP long polling.
We figure we need someone for 10-20 hours to whip this into shape for us. It might lead to future work for the right person.
