They have increasing competition on core products like Databases and ERP as they struggle to get their clients to move to their Cloud versions. They are facing legal action in US for hyping Cloud sales. And third party support vendors are eating their lunch and stealing clients who want cheaper support for their Oracle software that remains on-premise. Oracle is now trying a marketing refresh of its Cloud as a new 2nd generation ‘more secure’ platform. Will that be enough to stabilise the ship or are Oracle’s best days behind them?
