I would like a standalone program to be able to analyze a .wav file (if possible .mp3 as well) and give the spectrum analysis in a 3D plot. The 3D plot would have to be interactive, by this I mean that I should be able to rotate the plot using my mouse. The colours should be rich and the plot should look good. The program will have to be able to analze files that have 8 to 32 bits of information and samplig frequencies from 11kHz to 96 kHz. You can base your code on [url removed, login to view] (please have a good read, you will also find the source code there.), but there is a difference between what this program does and what I need. This program only takes an input from the microphone. I need to be able to read a .wav file. This program only shows a 2D coloured plot. I need a 3D coloured plot. (The x axis will be time in milliseconds, y axis will be frequencies form 20Hz to 20 000 Hz, and the z axis will be in dB.) The more flexibility you can add to the program the better. For example if the user can select the time of each FFT sample, that would be good etc... Please let me know if you have had previous experience coding audio editing programs. You can code this using either VB or VC++.
