Attached is a list of manufacturer names and model numbers which describe each instrument. The job is to take this information and look up each instruments PDF manual on the internet. You will also have to obtain a text description and a picture of each instrument.
I have created a data entry tool which you will use to upload the information to the server. I will be choosing more than one bidder for each project. Your bid should be based on a per instrument basis, knowing that you will have to upload a manual , a description, and a photo.
Please place a bid for entering data for 100 instruments.
PS. Some instruments on the list don't have model numbers.....jsut ingnore ones that don't have enough information.
Questions from a bidder that I think would be helpful to everyone:
1.- Would you assign the specify instruments to each bidder?
I would not assign a particular instrument to a particular bidder. THe program shows all open items which are available for data entry. For each item, there is a field where each researcher can select his name and take credit for that particular data entry.
2.- Is there any limitation on the type/size of photo?
A nice size photo, maybe 600X400...but there really is no limitation, as long as it is not so small that you cannot make out the item.
3.- Do the Files (pictures & PDF) need to be renamed to need your needs?
No, the program automatically renames the PDFs when uploaded.
4.- Do you need the url of the manufacture (if available)?
No, no need for the URL.
5.- Concerning the description, do you need just a brief description or as much information as possible? Could you make a sample available).
You can cut and paste the description of the item from the manufacturer website. That easy.
6.- Description can be unformatted Text?
Hmm, I would prefer formated text but if will accept unformatted text if need be.
