We need a .NET library (preferably in C#) for interacting with several well known blogging engines: Blogger, TypePad, Movable Type, LiveJournal, VOX and WordPress. The base class should look something like this:
BlogPlatformBase {
public string Username
public string Password
public Blog[] GetListOfBlogs()
public Post[] GetPosts(Blog)
public Post GetPost(uri)
public void DeletePost(uri)
public void CreatePost(Post)
public string[] GetCategories(uri)
public string UploadFile(string path)
}
This base class is a rough outline of the essential functionality that is neccessary. The syntax/layout is not set in stone.
There should be a class for each of the blog platforms derived from the base. The UploadFile method allows uploading of images, etc. to the site and returns the url to the resource that can be used.
A lot of example source/documentation already exists out there. I've provided links below. TypePad/MovableType/VOX, etc all utilize the Atom Publishing Protocol. Blogger uses a form of the APP as well, and a C# library is provided by Google which you can use as an example.
In addition, it is important that a sample app be provided that uses the classes to create a new post that is in HTML, with text and an embedded link and photo.
