I need a WYSIWYG HTML editor that can integrate cleanly into a PHP project I'm working on. It's meant to take the place of a standard HTML TEXTAREA element. The editor should be based on the MSHTML API, meaning it will only work in IE. Some editors like this will cause MS Office to pop up with a "Please insert your Office CD". This is crap. It needs to be standalone. Check out www.webumake.com. They have a GREAT editor! I want mine to work just like theirs. Another good one is ActiveEdit by [login to view URL] but theirs has the annoying MSOffice thing.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program using PHP, JavaScript, DHTML. 2) SIMPLE working demo script (PHP) that uses the editor in a form and then posts the editor contents to a page. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. Specifications: * Use the [login to view URL] example as a basis for your development, since it's almost exactly what I'm looking for. With the following differences: - Don't need the save/load/preview options - Don't need/want the zoom feature - Don't need the Page Properties settings - Don't need the smilies - Everything else is good - WYSIWYG/HTML toggle - Spell checker (nice but not essential) - Popup dialogs (ie. font, image, etc.) should make use of IE's modal dialogs - The generated HTML should not contain HTML,HEAD,BODY tags.. just the content - Allow options (including toolbar buttons) should be able to be turned off/on The whole editor should be encapsulated in a PHP object, so you would use it something like... $myedit = new editor(); $myedit->allowBold = false; $myedit->allowImages = false; $myedit->showEditor(); Anyway, you get the idea.
## Platform
PHP, DHTML, JavaScript, IE 5.5+
