Greetings. What i need is a fully featured news solution. demos welcome. It must use Legal/Legitimate methods to obtain freely available, and most current news each day. It must update regularly. It should be similar in layout to the news sections of many major Search Engines. It should be focused mainly on World Headlines, UK News, Sports, Technology, Health, Entertainment, with choosable categories to switch between them. (the default to be World Headlines) The algorithm should be able to place popular stories at the top of the Page, accoring to how many sources are running the story on their home pages. It should, where it is allowed to do so from news site owners, get snippets of text and pictures. (and re-size them after the fetch to save bandwidth etc.) I would like you to suggest news sources you may know of. Or these are good current ones. Once you complete the project for me, you must be able to give me full rights to own the code. I must know I am fully allowed to use it with no restrictions. Some other requirements please: 1) I would like it to be template based, so I can fully customise the page layout if I want. 2) I MUST have the ability through a web based control panel to ADD/REMOVE news sources where the news is collected from on a regular basis. 3) The finished product MUST include small pictures beside the snippets of news where possible. 4) I would also like full control over how many articles to display on the main page through admin panel. 5) It should show lots of detail, like when the page was last updated time stamped by the server and the URL of each news article when the page is generated. 6) The application you provide must be your own work and must be fully secure. 7) The project cannot be too expensive.
