I want a very simple program that will capture an image every x seconds from an USB webcam, and store it to a given directory, every given number of seconds. It should be coded in VB6 (since it is the one I have). Once everything is installed on the computer (OCXs, DLLs, or whatever it needs to run) it should be an standalone EXE which can also be called from a command line with parameters. The parameters given to the program should be: - how many seconds to take a screenshot - resolution (if needed if the higher camera resolution can not be detected) - directory were to store image files - webcam number (if more than one webcam are detected on the system, there should be a way to tell the program how to capture the images, either by a device name or just a number - hours to keep pictures, when the program starts it will check the capture directory, and it will delete files older than that many hours The program should be able to detect the higher resolution of the webcam and use it, or have a parameter which can be used from command line so I can choose it, like "[url removed, login to view] -res 320x200" The program should be able to run on Windows98SE and WindowsXP. The program does not have to show up on the taskbar, just on the traybar, with the comment on mouse ovr should be something like "Capturing from webcam 1 to c:\captures\cam1\". It might have a small interface (like when it starts connecting to webcam, deleting older images, etc) bt nothing big is needed, when the program is running it should just sit in the traybar. Captures should be saved in JPG to save HD space, and filenames should be like [url removed, login to view], were YYYY=year MM=month DD=day HH=hour MM=minute SS=second. The program should use as little resources as possible since it will be running on a P2-350 64Mb with Windows 98SE. Examples: c:\path\[url removed, login to view] -seconds 5 -dir c:\captures\cam1\ -res 320x200 -cam 1 -keep 48 (capture a snapshot every 5 seconds, save them to directory c:\captures\cam1\ at 320x200 resolution from the first webcam found on the system, and delete images older than 48 hours) Notes: In case it matters, the program will be used with a Logitech Quickcam Express and a Logitech Clicksmart 310, but I might change it to 2 Quickcam Express and I might use other USB cams, but they will probably all be Logitech
