Real Estate FSBO & Agents Zen-Cart Website

We require a self service Search Engine friendly Real Estate and For Sale by Owner (FBSO) site. Zen-Cart seems to provide and excellent basis for such a site. Private sellers must have the ability to create their own listings in less than 2 minutes (including registration) and Real Estate Agents must be able to quickly upload their properties. Initially listings will be free, but over time we will move to charging private sellers a fee after 30 days and Real Estate Agents will pay a monthly membership fee. **Key Requirements : 1) Professional Design**/ CSS - The design and layout must present a simple professional crisp corporate image. The design must be CSS compliant and generally search engine friendly as well as being very fast to load. **2) Graphic Elements** - The winning bidder will also need to provide the graphic elements of the site including a few royalty free positive lifestyle images (happy, successful, making money etc) and a simple logo based on the domain name. **3) SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY** - every page must be indexable by the search engines. The software must allow us control the metatags, titles, with dynamic header and footer menus. **4) USER FRIENDLY** - The site must be Self Service, in other words the most inexperienced user must be able to quickly register and upload their property in less than 2 minutes. **RESPONSES - Please read PLATFORM notes below. Please respond to the key requirements above point by point indicating your proposed solution. - Please include similar sites you have developed in your response. PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE A STANDARD RESPONSE LISTING HUNDREDS OF SITES NOT RELEVANT TO THIS PROJECT. ALL SUCH RESPONSES WILL BE DELETED.** **- We can provide examples of the types of site we require. ** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform **Platform:** **- Must run on Standard Internet servers using Apache webservers and Linux/Unix derivatives**** **- Generally prefer PHP as a core programming language, but the quality and functions of the solution will dictate the language selected etc;** **- The sites' visual design must be separate from the coding and managed via CSS style sheets.** **- I have feedback that Zen Cart offers much of what is required, but I can be convinced there are better tools. ****** **- The ability to handle XML feeds and automatically provide RSS updates to subscribers would be distinct advantages. A built in automated external Link addition/checking script would also be an advantage.****
