I'm looking for someone to work with me on integrating the SOAP serializer and deserializer for my custom Delphi classes, which now support serialization and deserialization of objects using a proprietary text-based format. Those classes are simple containers for basic Delphi types (integer, string, float, datetime, etc) and some "complex" types like record, array, stream and dataset.
To the most part, this project is about understanding SOAP and what makes this protocol cross-platform and cross-language. Your main task will be to implement "toSOAP" and "fromSOAP" methods for existing classes, to make it possible to serialize the instances into a SOAP-compatible format on one side and deserialize a SOAP-compatible "string" to (re)create the "same" objects on the other side. For this project, deep understanding of XML, SOAP and WSDL is of highest importance.
Second part of this project is writing a WSDL generator, which should be able to generate a WSDL file from the same classes a SOAP-compatible response is being created.
Classes which have to be extended probably already contain enough information for both (WSDL and SOAP request/response generation), but if more information is necessary, you will have to extend the classes with additional properties to make it work.
This Bid is open *ONLY* to individuals (no outsourcing companies, please).
1) Complete source code in Delphi of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-compile condition.
3) This is a Delphi project and resulting classes have to be independent of any third-party COM/DCOM classes or functions. In other words, you are not allowed to use any existing SOAP/WSDL/XML parsers to accomplish this task, everything has to be done "from scratch". 4) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Resulting code has to be capable of processing any SOAP-compatible requests and responses, regardless of the OS or pogramming language they are coming from. In case this is not possible up to 100%, the highest possible compatibility has to be achieved with most common standards like Java, PHP and ASP.NET.
