Build PHP script to convert/translate generic AIXM5.1 data into a simplified XML file as we need only certain data elements (airport data, coordinates, elevation, runways) of the AIXM5.1 file. The simplified file will later be used to be imported into a database (which is not part of this project). Knowledge of XML and AIXM5.1 required. Scripts preferred to be in PHP. Hi, I'm Matt and can help you (22 years of IT development and web mastering practice). I've used to script XML handling with PHP in the past, including now built-in XML parser but also some others (Sablotron). It's not an issue, just as long the processing is chosen (DOM - read the document in memory first - or node driven - process nodes as you read the document). So if you provide more additional details (which files to process, what should the final output XML document have/be like) then it's just a matter of scripting node processing in PHP.
