I need to create a custom search archive template for a custom post type.
The custom post type (CPT) is created by installing a plugin “Download Manager” .
- CPT labeled as “Download”, registered as “wpdmpro” with rewrite-slug to download.
Please see the attached image to get an idea of the search filter area
Please consider RWD
- The download page is for registered member only.
- Once login, everyone can see ALL the download listing, and most of the download entry can be downloaded by login-users, but if the post is checked as “VIP Only”, then only VIP can download it. (Can still see the information from the search filter listing page but can not download it)
The module might have register this post type as private, might need to alter this, hopefully by adding custom php code to [url removed, login to view] file instead of hardcode it.
The page link of this page should be “website_url/download/”
In the search filter box:
- Auto generating the category from the category taxonomy
- Filter Type options: ALL, Featured, VIP
- Time: All, last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 1 Year
Sorting feature:
- By Time
- By Featured
- By Download
- My Download - show only files that the member have downloaded in the past(
- (if download# per this user != 0 ? )
In the loop, pull out the following information
{ Post Title }
{ Filesize }
{ Publisher }
{ Post Date }
{ Number of total download of this file }
{ Number of download of this file per this login user }
{ Featured Output value }
{ VIP only Output value }
{ Tags }
{ Category }
If a non-VIP member attend to download the VIP file,
it will show a modal box “This is VIP only content, upgrade now! ”
