On a CentOS + Plesk server I need the System Partition larger than the current 12GB because it is running out of space or clean up some some files if possible.

Hi System partition can be extended only if the partition is under lvm . If it is a raw disk format, there is no "recommended" way. Thanks

Depending on how the server is setup, I can either help you to extend volumes, repartition disks, move files, or clean up files/packages. Hi, I would like to offer my services for this project. I have extensive CentOS knowledge and am a certified Plesk Onyx for Linux Expert. I estimate that this project will take 5 hours to complete. The outline looks like this: - server assessment; - backing up config+data; - increase filesystem for / (if not possible, identify ways to free some space; offer alternatives); - confirm that everything is up. Increasing the filesystem requires downtime. Depending on your current setup, it may take 1-3 hours until service is restored. Let me know if you have any concerns. After reading over your project this looks like a perfect fit for my skill sets. I have support a wide range of Linux servers from CentOS to Ubuntu to AIX to SUN. The base steps for expanding a filesystem on the Linux servers are listed below. - Grow SCSI device (Expand virtual disk) - Rescan SCSI bus - Resize PV device - Grow GV group - Resize LV device - Grow filesystem to new LV size. I could have server fixed in about 15 mins or so.
