Install kibana on a hetzner Centos. Demonstrate the ability to install kibana on a default hetzner server we have setup. Demonstrate the ability to read/ analyse data from three separate elastic search clusters. Demonstrate the ability to schedule and setup meetings to make progress. Demonstrate the ability to analyse and understand how our data is organized in elastic search. Demonstrate the ability to give advice on how to better organize data on our elastic search clusters. Do the above within 7 days of accepting the project.

Hi Eddie, As per your discussions with Vishal Shukla, here I am sending my proposal with some questions and points of discussions for the ElasticSearch / Kibana related work. Here is my background - I have 12+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications using Java & Scala. I have extensive experience developing applications that use ElasticSearch, other NoSQL databases, relational databases. I am practitioner of Agile methodologies and lean practices. As per the requirements mentioned in your project, it is definitely possible to have a federated/combined view in a single Kibana server from different ElasticSearch clusters. We would like to have access to the ElasticSearch clusters to understand the organisation of data. We can go through the indices and have a call on Tuesday/Wednesday to understand the expectations . We already have some questions, but going through the ElasticSearch indexes, we might get the answers. We can possibly discuss the remaining questions on Tuesday’s call. 1. Do these clusters have indexes with the same names? 2. Do these cluster have same data for serving different workloads or the data itself is different. 3. What is the purpose of different elasticsearch clusters. There are different reasons why one might choose to use one massive cluster vs multiple clusters. 4. What are the different queries issued against them and SLAs for the queries.

I have extensive experience working with Elasticsearch. I manage several hundred servers during my day job that are part of 10 different search solutions. I have set up kibana to monitor several of these clusters so I am familiar with it. I also spend a lot of time working on improving the quality of the index to increase searchability. I use custom analyzers to handle a variety of data types (i.e. markdown, html, urls, etc.). I think this will be an easy project to work on.
