Front end developer required for ongoing development of several ecommerce websites, built on WordPress & WooCommerce. Developing the WordPress / WooCommerce website theme • Writing PHP within WordPress, WordPress Plugins • Writing and modifying JavaScript and jQuery code • Maintaining & optimising WordPress / WooCommerce theme • Streamline code, built with speed in mind. • Minimise and merge CSS and JS loading • Futureproof the website and decrease the risk of high maintenance costs and time use later on Required Skills & Experience: • At least 8 years experience as Web Developer with a proven track record of delivering designs from concept through to delivery • HTML, CSS, PHP and jQuery • Coding for: legacy / cross browser / mobile / responsive • Excellent knowledge of web standards and usability • Theme coding & customisation • Theme & plugin maintenance • Theme optimisation • Customisation and use of WooCommerce • MySQL database setup & optimisation • An eye for creative website design and UI design • Ability to build conversion optimised pages on Wordpress • Use of Photoshop • Use of Version control (Git) Available immediately
