I hired a freelancer to build a WordPress plugin that would do a number of things, including connect to the Quickbooks API and exchange customer data with the Quickbooks server. She did a poor job, so I fired her.
What she gave me was a mish-mash of code that was hacked together.
It does connect to Quickbooks' servers, and it does successfully exchange and update data, but it's unnecessarily bulky and not easily manageable.
Instead of writing a plugin to do the work, she mashed together a combination of plugin code combined with theme php files and WP Bakery Visual Composer front-end interface, which is definitely NOT what I wanted.
I need someone to take her code, simplify it, remove the Visual Composer piece, move the theme php files to the plugin, and replace the VC front-end interface with an interface within the plugin that works more easily and intuitively.
The code needs to be better-constructed, well-documented, and easy to follow by another developer.
You will get access to the website where the plugin is installed in order to do your work.
There are other pieces of the overall project that she started work on but never finished properly. Those pieces are not a part of this project.
Show me a sample of a WordPress plugin code that you wrote.
Do not show me your standard portfolio, because that doesn't show me the quality of your code-writing.
Do not put in a placeholder bid. I despise people who bid low then raise their bids later.
Make your proposed time to complete the project accurate. Don't just go with the default.
I want bids and completion times that are accurate the first time.
I will not just jump at whomever bids fastest. In fact, I will very likely take up to 24 hours to make my final hiring decision.
I am tech-savvy and have written code myself as a web developer, so you can't pull the wool over my eyes.
I place a very high premium value on candidates with strong American English speaking and writing skills.
To verify that you have read this entire project description, begin your bid proposal with the phrase, "Yes, I read your entire description and I will directly address all of your key points in my reply."
