Hi there! I'm taking over an old-school HTML based directory website, [login to view URL] and transferring this to a Wordpress platform. There are several tasks I need assistance with: 1) Guidance on the best way to transfer existing user profiles over to Wordpress 2) New Members should be able to create and update profiles 3) I want the home page to allow users to type in their location and display other members closest to that user on a map 4) I want the main directory page to be categorised by state or territory (Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, etc), and approved profiles be automatically assigned and displayed under the correct category. This should be similar to [login to view URL] I will perform all of the required work, I just need guidance on how best to approach this project. I may also have several questions related to how to perform certain tasks as directed by freelancer. I am currently using Generatepress theme, and have built a temporary Wordpress installation for this project. I want to avoid having to purchase additional plugins wherever possible.
